Create, cooperate, transform the city.
Res Urbis is a training program for Brussels-based cultural actors who develop innovative projects, often outside of institutional frameworks. It helps structure these initiatives, understand their context (cultural policies, funding, territorial anchoring) and build strong, meaningful and visible projects.
Learning objectives:
- Strengthen skills in project design, management and evaluation
- Understand local and European cultural policies
- Foster peer learning and exchange
- Provide practical tools for field-based cultural actors
Target audience
Res Urbis is designed for individuals active in the Brussels sociocultural field, carrying a project within or in connection with an association. The program focuses on emerging or under-recognised initiatives that take original, community-rooted approaches.
The 2024 edition includes 6 training days over 6 weeks (Fridays), combining:
- methodological input (logical framework, planning, evaluation)
- hands-on workshops (project pitching, SWOT, PESTEL, budgeting)
- peer exchange and guest speakers
- tailored coaching for each participant’s project
Application deadline: 15 October 2024 Applications must be submitted by email to frederic.jacquemin@fondation-hicter.org. Interviews may be conducted if needed.
Res Urbis is supported by Cocof – Service Éducation Permanente, and has partnered with Citimined, Oracle and the Réseau des Arts à Bruxelles.
